That same mixture was then skim coated across the whole exterior to give a monolithic surface and seal the whole system together and then an acrylic finish with a medium aggregate and the color desired was applied over the base coat as a finish coat and has the appearance of conventional stucco exterior. The difference is its acrylic and the whole system is attached and made solid to withstand high winds like tornadoes and hurricane force winds and water. USG designed this system for areas that were prone to have hurricanes and it had even been used in lieu of conventional stucco finish that is metal lath and two coats of a scratch coat and brown coat of Portland cement and then a stucco finish applied.
