Mark C. Updegraff moved to Rochester, NY in 1997 to pursue his Bachelor's of Science from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Imaging and Photographic Technology. As an undergraduate student he participated in three co-operative work academic quarters for NASA, Pictometry, and as a 4x5 film photographer for Jembetat African Art Gallery. In 2003, after working for Kodak to provide professional camera customer support, Mark took a position in the RIT's Center for Imaging Science and began his Master's studies in Color Science. After completing his graduate work, Mark took a color science position with ITT Corporation in 2009 where he worked on video quality metrics, end-to-end spectral imaging systems, and electro-optical systems for high altitude aircrafts. In 2010, Mark decided to focus his efforts fully on his real estate redevelopment companies; Wedge Redux LLC, Port Redux LLC, and Raze Capital LLC. These companies rehabilitate neglected properties, and presently include 24 units of fully refurbished, market rate, rental homes and apartments in Rochester, NY, Williamsport, PA and Canton, PA. Currently, Mark has switched focus toward the development of residential, commercial, and mixed-use real property. Mark is the acting developer for the new headquarters of a large transportation company in Williamsport, PA. The project includes 8,000 square feet of commercial space and 2,000 square feet of on-site office space, with projected completion in May of 2013. In addition, Mark responded to the City of Rochester's request for proposals in May 2011 for a mixed-use development on a brownfield site in Rochester, NY. Mark collaborated with and lead a team of architects, engineers, builders, and specialists across the country to submit a proposal that is modern in design, both environmentally and economically sustainable, and engages the community to define their needs.
