Lake Sinclair and Lake Oconee have had a piece of Margaret Decker's heart since 1999. At that time, her husband and she lived in Atlanta and were in search of a lakefront weekend home. They had never been to these lakes but ventured there one Sunday afternoon and instantly fell in love with the lifestyle this region offered and the close proximity to Atlanta. They commuted to these lakes almost every single weekend, every summer, and any chance in between. Their best and happiest times have been spent on the lakes with family, friends, boats, campfires, cookouts, fishing poles, tents, and footballs, (you get the idea)!Margaret grew up on Boone Lake in Kingsport, Tennessee, and went to the University of Tennessee. She taught elementary school in both public and private schools for several years before entering into real estate.In 2013, Margaret and her husband had an opportunity to move from Atlanta to their lake home on a full-time basis. She decided to move her license of 20 years from Atlanta to the Lake Sinclair / Lake Oconee market. Her husband Jeff accepted a job at Gatewood School in Eatonton as an English teacher and now serves as headmaster. Their two kids, Anna Leigh and John have adored living on the lake full-time.Margaret has a great deal of personal experience with buying and selling property on these lakes. Her husband and she have personally bought and sold more than a dozen properties over the years. She would love the opportunity to share her knowledge and experience with you, whether it be buying or selling.
