Carl Grant started building new homes in the early 1940s in northern Shelby County, TN. In the 1970's, Richard and Milton Grant followed in their father's footsteps with their own companies.Having grown up in the building business, it was only natural that brothers Keith and David Grant and their sister, Kim Grant Brown with her husband Blair Brown, continue the home building legacy. Grant home builders has taken the proven method of "tried and true" construction craftsmanship established by their father and grandfather and combined that with the latest innovative ideas of home design to create one of the most respected and progressive residential construction companies in the Memphis/Mid-South area.Now the legacy continues as the company welcomes the fourth generation of Grants into the residential construction business with the addition of Conner Grant Homes, LLC - Great Grandson of Carl Grant - who began his career with the company this year after graduating from University of Tennessee last year.Another tradition of the Grant family is their commitment to leading the homebuilding industry in West Tennessee and North Mississippi as a voice for growth and change. All three Grant siblings have recently held leadership positions in regional homebuilding associations. Keith served as the Home Builders Association of Tennessee president, David as Home Builders Association of North Mississippi president, and Kim is a past president of the West Tennessee Home Builders Association.
