Born and raised in Silverton, he worked in the family vineyard and winery business until 1991. After graduating from Silverton Union High School in 1990, he attended Chemeketa Community College for 2 years studying real estate and other various classes. A graduate of the Norm Webb Real Estate School, he has been licensed for 24 years and a Broker with Silverton Realty since 1999. In 2003 he completed additional education in real estate and earned my GRI designation. In 2009 he completed specific education and earned the NAR's Green Designation. In 2017; Michael completed additional education, passed my state and national tests, to earn my Principal Brokers license. He's a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Oregon Association of Realtors, the Green Resource Council, the Mid-Valley Association of Realtors, the Realtor Multiple Listing Service of Portland, and the Willamette Valley Multiple Listing Service. Over the past 31 years while working in Silverton and the surrounding areas he worked with several of the local builders. Michael is also a licensed and bonded General Contractor. In the past he specialized in residential remodels and new construction. Michael have completed several custom and speculation homes prior to the Great Recession. During the recession he concentrated on renovations, kitchen remodels, and window install. In 2010, he became a Certified Renovator to comply with the new EPA's RR&P Rule. In 2015 he re-entered back into the spec home and bare-land development markets. Recent projects include lot partitioning in the City and County. Michael has made several real estate investments in Silverton and has a commitment to the community as well as an interest in the policies of the local government. Michael's experience in real estate and construction along with his relationship with local builders, other Realtors, and City Staff compliment his knowledge of the area to provide top quality service.
