Growing up, Vince Lance split his time between the tightly packed northwest side of Chicago and a house on a remote five-acre lot near the Wisconsin border. Bouncing between these two landscapes gave him a unique view of how people choose to make their homes in vastly different environments.One thing his family’s homes had in common was that they were all "handyman specials". The whole family could swing a hammer, so Vince began an education in home renovation at an early age. Consequently, when it came time to rehab his Logan Square three flat, he decided to do it on his own. How hard could it be, right? Well; three kitchens, three bathrooms, three heating systems, three [fill in the blank], and three (okay five) years later, he felt the profound satisfaction of having built something with his own two hands, and had a profound appreciation for the fact that a good contractor can really save you a lot of time and aggravation.Apart from his personal experience with real estate, Vince spent fourteen years prior to becoming a broker appraising real estate. He has evaluated over 7,000 properties in the Chicagoland area.
