The trails give great access to the entire property. This property "hunts" like a much bigger acreage because of the long borders with the Heritage Preserve. There is another large timberland neighbor that does not allow hunting and is rumored to be selling to SCDNR or another preservation owner. My clients talk about how common it is to see new bucks every hunt because of the huge draw area. Mallards, Woodies, Teal, big gobblers and trophy bucks, fantastic fishing from kayak or bass boat on Simpson and Waccamaw River. There is an area that could be improved for a boat landing on the Waccamaw. As with all river bottoms, this property will normally flood December through February when the ducks are flying and the ground is covered in acorns! Other major rain events which raise the Waccamaw level will also cause flooding. This only adds to the duck hunting season! Today you can walk or ATV over most of the property except oxbows or ponds. The cabin is one room with a fireplace and seems to be very sturdy.
