About this 5 bedroom 3 bath house

Welcome to sunset central! Never cease to be amazed by nature's beautiful and spectacular sunsets on display at this sound front home located on the most prestigious street in the most prestigious year-round friendly neighborhood on the Outer Banks. No two sunsets will ever be the same! Martin's Point is a highly sought after gated community with wonderful amenities and a very low annual fee. Martin's Point is the only neighborhood with natural gas available! This turnkey house has so much to offer as-is and even more potential should you choose to make changes! Built by an elderly gentleman with his golden years in mind, his design takes full advantage of one level living, thanks to the elevator. He also captured and enjoyed the most gorgeous sunsets ever seen from the well thought out sound front decks running the entire length of the house or similarly from inside the house via a full bank of large picture windows. The living room is enormous as is the master bedroom with ensuite and his/her walk-in closets. Four additional bedrooms are close yet adequately separated from the master providing privacy from family, or guests. Many of the bedrooms enjoy water views and so does the main level laundry room! You will almost want to do the laundry!? There is also a breeze-way covered porch at the northside of the house that ALWAYS seems to have a pleasant East-West breeze to keep you cool while enjoying the outdoors. There are 4 garages for the car/toy enthusiast as well as secured outdoor storage! This house was built in 1999 and came through Irene, the 500-year storm, with no water issues on the ground level. There are storm shudders on the windows and doors. Conveniently, the Northside storm shudders are electric with a push button to open and close them and the others open/close using hand cranks. There is also a "whole house" Generac natural gas generator to cover all your needs during those rare power outages. The elevator has a new control system installed in January 2026 at a cost of almost $20k and is still under warranty. The generator was newly installed 11/2019 and also serviced annually and on 6/30/2025 a new battery and starter were installed. The owner did a great job maintaining the infrastructure of this house and was meticulous with document retention which will be made available to the buyer. The HVAC is a "dual fuel" natural gas furnace and electric heat pump for air conditioning. New roof in 6/2018, and a tankless natural gas water heater 6/2012. The lot has both bulkheading AND rip rap on the sound front for extra piece of mind. This houses' street is literally "The Point of Martin's Point." Join the community that is hands down one of the best, if not THE BEST on the OBX! This is your opportunity to surround yourself with other beautiful waterfront properties at an affordable entry point. There are no vacant lots remaining on Mill Point. This house is move in ready or can be remodeled or easily expanded. Potentially increase the living space by finishing the +/- 1,600 sf of sound facing unfinished space on the ground level. The listing broker has the original house plans which may facilitate any buyer desired future changes to the house. Enjoy life more by making this house yours! The possibilities are endless so act now!
