This is casual comfort on the ocean.There is a full dining room with large table to accommodate big groups and still leave the puzzle at one end. A grilling porch off the dining room makes entertaining easy. The dining chandelier even has an incredible switch: prefer candlelight? Switch out the plug in version for the candle version, conveniently stored in the laundry room. The kitchen table has plenty of seating with a fantastic bay window with glimpses of the ocean, maritime forest, and private beach boardwalk through the dunes. The kitchen is well designed for great flow between the breakfast nook and main living areas. Tons of counter space, including the granite on the wine bar, which can be easily accessed from the family room/den. The den opens to the screened porch with great hammock, and wicker chairs and tables for easy relaxation within the sounds of the waves and ocean breezes. A cozy wood stove anchors the den area, and a half bath on this level means that guests do not need to find a bedroom if a powder room is necessary. Built-ins include space for electronics like the tv and speaker system. The attached guest house has two private levels. Each level has two identical bedrooms with en suite baths, and a large central hall which could be used for a breakfast station or game room. Large owners closets could be locked if you chose to use this as a rental property. Both levels of the cottage are designed to let the ocean breezes blow through the hidden screened doors, reducing the need to use the air conditioning. The ground level of this house is designed for maximum ease of beach living, with an outdoor shower, seating areas, a joggling board, screened storage, and an elevator for getting your luggage to the two main floors. With the cedar shake design on the main building, the home looks just like a lighthouse.
