Redmond, Washington is a city located in King County, just east of Seattle. It is home to Microsoft and Nintendo of America, as well as many other tech companies. Redmond has a population of over 65,000 people and is known for its vibrant outdoor activities and natural beauty.

The city is situated on the Sammamish River and Lake Sammamish, providing plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation such as fishing, boating, swimming, and hiking. The city also has several parks including Marymoor Park which offers a variety of activities such as biking trails, sports fields, picnic areas, and an off-leash dog park.

Redmond is home to many shopping centers and restaurants that offer a variety of cuisines from around the world. The city also hosts several annual events such as the Redmond Derby Days Festival which celebrates the city’s history with a parade and carnival rides.

Redmond is served by two school districts: Lake Washington School District and Bellevue School District. The city also has several higher education institutions including DigiPen Institute of Technology which offers degrees in computer science and game design.
