Oak Harbor, Washington Description
Oak Harbor is a city located on the northern tip of Whidbey Island in Island County, Washington. It is the largest city on Whidbey Island and is home to approximately 22,000 people. The city was founded in 1849 by Captain William F. Tolmie and was named after the many oak trees that grew in the area.
The city of Oak Harbor is known for its stunning views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, as well as its abundance of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, and more. The city also has a vibrant downtown area with shops, restaurants, galleries, and other attractions.
