Kent, Washington is a city located in King County, Washington, United States. It is the sixth largest city in the state and the third largest in the county. The population was 92,411 at the 2010 census. Kent is located 19 miles (31 km) south of Seattle and is part of the Seattle metropolitan area.
The city's economy is largely based on manufacturing and retail trade. Major employers include Boeing, Amazon, REI, PACCAR, Oberto Sausage Company, and Kent School District. The city also has a vibrant arts scene with several galleries and performance venues.
