Bothell, Washington Description
Bothell, WA is a city located in King County, Washington, United States. It is part of the Seattle metropolitan area and is located approximately 20 miles northeast of Seattle. Bothell has a population of around 45,000 people and is known for its vibrant downtown area with many shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. The city also has several parks and trails for outdoor recreation.
Bothell was first settled in 1885 by settlers from the East Coast who were drawn to the area by its abundant timber resources. The city was officially incorporated in 1909 and has since grown into a thriving community with a diverse economy. Bothell is home to several major employers including Microsoft, Boeing, Amazon, and Premera Blue Cross.
The city's downtown area features many historic buildings that have been preserved over the years as well as modern developments such as University Village Shopping Center which offers an array of shopping and dining options. Bothell also hosts several annual events such as the Summer Concert Series at Country Village and the Bothell Farmers Market which takes place every Saturday from May through October.
Bothell is served by two school districts: Northshore School District and Northshore Public Schools. The University of Washington Bothell campus is located in the city as well as Cascadia College which offers associate degrees in various fields of study. Additionally, there are several private schools located within the city limits including Eastside Catholic School and St. Brendan Catholic School.
