Auburn, Washington is a city located in King County, Washington, United States. It is situated between the cities of Seattle and Tacoma and is part of the Seattle metropolitan area. Auburn has a population of over 70,000 people and covers an area of 28.7 square miles.
The city was founded in 1891 by settlers from Auburn, New York who were looking for a new home in the Pacific Northwest. The city was named after its namesake in New York and has since grown to become one of the largest cities in King County.
Auburn is known for its diverse culture and vibrant economy. The city is home to many businesses including Boeing, Amazon, Microsoft, and Starbucks. There are also several educational institutions such as Green River College and Highline College that offer a variety of degree programs.
