Suffolk, Virginia Description
Suffolk, Virginia is a city located in the Hampton Roads region of southeastern Virginia. It is the largest city in the region and the 14th largest in the state. The city is situated on the Nansemond River, which flows into the Chesapeake Bay. Suffolk is home to a diverse population of over 90,000 people and has a rich history dating back to 1634 when it was first settled by English colonists.
The city of Suffolk is known for its vibrant culture and strong sense of community. It offers a variety of attractions including museums, historic sites, parks, and recreational activities. The downtown area features many shops and restaurants as well as a farmers market that takes place every Saturday morning.
