South Jordan, Utah Description
South Jordan, UT is a city located in the Salt Lake Valley of Utah. It is part of the Salt Lake City metropolitan area and is situated about 20 miles south of downtown Salt Lake City. South Jordan has a population of approximately 67,000 people and is one of the fastest growing cities in the state.
The city was founded in 1859 by Mormon pioneers and was originally known as "Jordan City". The city was named after the nearby Jordan River which flows through the area. South Jordan has a rich history and culture that can be seen in its many historic sites, museums, and monuments.
