Utah State Information

Utah is a state located in the western United States. It is bordered by Idaho to the north, Wyoming to the northeast, Colorado to the east, Arizona to the south, and Nevada to the west. Utah is known for its diverse landscape of mountains, deserts, and forests. The state is home to five national parks, including Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park.

The capital of Utah is Salt Lake City, which is also the most populous city in the state. Other major cities include West Valley City, Provo, West Jordan, and Ogden. The population of Utah is estimated at 3.2 million people as of 2020.

Utah has a semi-arid climate with hot summers and cold winters. The average temperature in July ranges from 80°F (27°C) in the northern part of the state to 90°F (32°C) in the south. In January, temperatures range from 20°F (-7°C) in the north to 40°F (4°C) in the south.

The economy of Utah is largely based on tourism and outdoor recreation due to its natural beauty and abundance of outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, camping, fishing, and hunting. Other major industries include mining, manufacturing, finance and insurance services, information technology services, and government services.

Utah is known for its strong religious culture with a majority of residents belonging to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). The state also has a large population of Native Americans who make up about 1% of the population.
