Wylie, Texas is a small city located in Collin County, about 30 miles northeast of Dallas. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area and has a population of around 48,000 people. The city was founded in 1887 and named after Colonel W.D. Wylie, who was a prominent local rancher and businessman.
The city is known for its excellent schools, low crime rate, and family-friendly atmosphere.
