Waller, Texas is a small town located in Waller County, about 40 miles northwest of Houston. It is a rural community with a population of around 2,500 people. The town was founded in 1873 and named after Edwin Waller, the first president of the Republic of Texas.

The town has a rich history and is home to many historical sites such as the Waller County Courthouse, which was built in 1884 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The courthouse is still used today for county business and court proceedings. Other historic sites include the Waller County Jail, which was built in 1891 and served as a jail until it closed in 1971; the Waller County Museum, which houses artifacts from the area's past; and the Old Town Hall, which was built in 1895 and served as a meeting place for local government until it closed in 1975.
