Vidor, Texas is a small city located in Orange County, Texas. It is situated about 25 miles east of Beaumont and about 85 miles northeast of Houston. The population of Vidor is estimated to be around 10,000 people.
Vidor was founded in the late 1800s and has a rich history that includes being the site of the first oil well in Texas. The city is known for its strong sense of community and its many festivals and events throughout the year.
The climate in Vidor is humid subtropical with hot summers and mild winters. Average temperatures range from lows in the 40s during winter months to highs in the 90s during summer months. Rainfall averages around 50 inches per year with most occurring during spring and summer months.
