Tyler, Texas is a city located in Smith County, in the northeastern part of the state. It is the county seat and largest city in Smith County. Tyler is known as the “Rose Capital of America” due to its large rose-growing industry and annual Rose Festival. The city has a population of over 100,000 people and is home to several universities, including The University of Texas at Tyler and Tyler Junior College.
Tyler has a humid subtropical climate with hot summers and mild winters. The average temperature in July is around 90 degrees Fahrenheit (32 Celsius) while the average temperature in January is around 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10 Celsius).
The city has many attractions for visitors to enjoy, including the Caldwell Zoo, Tyler State Park, and several museums such as the Goodman-LeGrand House & Museum and the Tyler Museum of Art.
