San Juan, Texas Description
San Juan, Texas is a small city located in Hidalgo County, in the Rio Grande Valley region of South Texas. It is situated on the banks of the Rio Grande River, just south of McAllen and Reynosa, Mexico. The city has a population of approximately 35,000 people and is known for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant atmosphere.
The city was founded in 1848 by Spanish settlers who named it after San Juan Bautista, the patron saint of Hidalgo County. Since then, San Juan has grown to become an important center for commerce and industry in the region. It is home to several large companies such as Walmart, HEB Grocery Stores, and many other businesses.
San Juan is also known for its beautiful parks and recreational areas. The city has several parks including San Juan Park which features a playground, picnic areas, walking trails, and a lake with fishing opportunities.
