Rockdale, TX is a small town located in Milam County, Texas. It is situated about halfway between Austin and Houston, making it a convenient stop for travelers. The population of Rockdale is approximately 5,000 people.
The town was founded in 1873 and has a rich history that includes the first railroad line in the state of Texas. The town was also home to the first cotton gin in the state. Today, Rockdale is known for its friendly atmosphere and its commitment to preserving its historic buildings and sites.
