Porter, Texas Description
Porter, Texas is a small town located in Montgomery County, about 30 miles north of Houston. It is part of the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area and has a population of around 2,000 people. The town was founded in 1883 and named after Thomas Porter, an early settler.
Porter is known for its rural atmosphere and small-town charm. The town has several parks and recreational areas, including the Porter Community Park which features a playground, picnic tables, and walking trails. There are also several golf courses in the area.
