Plano, Texas is a vibrant city located in the heart of Collin County, just 20 miles north of Dallas. With a population of over 286,000 people, Plano is the ninth-largest city in Texas and the 70th most populous city in the United States.

Plano is known for its excellent quality of life and strong economy. The city has been ranked as one of the best places to live in America by Money Magazine and Forbes Magazine. It is home to many corporate headquarters such as Frito-Lay, JCPenney, Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Pizza Hut, Toyota Motors USA, and Liberty Mutual Insurance.

The city offers a variety of attractions for visitors and residents alike. The downtown area features historic buildings and unique shops and restaurants. There are also several parks throughout the city including Bob Woodruff Park which features a lake with paddleboats and fishing opportunities. The Shops at Legacy is an outdoor shopping center with over 100 stores and restaurants. For those looking for entertainment there are several movie theaters, bowling alleys, museums, art galleries, and performing arts venues.

Plano also has an excellent school system with numerous public schools as well as private schools such as Plano West Senior High School which was ranked among the top high schools in America by Newsweek magazine in 2020. The city also boasts several higher education institutions such as Collin College and University of Texas at Dallas (UTD).
