Midlothian, Texas is a small city located in Ellis County, about 25 miles southwest of Dallas. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and has a population of around 25,000 people. The city was founded in 1845 and has grown steadily since then.
Midlothian is known for its strong economy and low cost of living. It is home to several large employers such as Alcoa, Martin Marietta Materials, and Trinity Industries. The city also boasts a vibrant downtown area with many restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues.
The city is served by the Midlothian Independent School District which includes seven elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. There are also several private schools in the area as well as higher education institutions such as Navarro College and Southwestern Assemblies of God University.
