Liberty, Texas Description
Liberty, Texas is a small town located in the southeastern part of the state, about 50 miles northeast of Houston. It is the county seat of Liberty County and has a population of around 8,000 people. The town was founded in 1831 and named after the American concept of liberty.
The town is situated on the Trinity River and is surrounded by rolling hills and lush forests. It has a historic downtown area with many old buildings that have been preserved from its early days as a trading post.
