Heartland, TX is a small town located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in Texas. It is situated about 25 miles south of downtown Dallas and is part of Ellis County. The town has a population of just over 2,000 people and covers an area of approximately 4 square miles.

The town was founded in 1876 and was originally known as "Heartland Station" due to its location on the Texas & Pacific Railway line. The town was renamed Heartland in 1883 when it was incorporated.
