Haslet, Texas Description
Haslet is a small town located in Tarrant County, Texas, United States. It is situated about 25 miles northwest of downtown Fort Worth and is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area. The population was 1,126 at the 2010 census.
The town was founded in 1881 by William Haslet, who named it after himself. It was originally a farming community and has since grown to include several businesses and residential neighborhoods. The town is served by the Northwest Independent School District and includes two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school.
The town has a rural feel with many farms and ranches surrounding it. There are also several parks in the area including Haslet Community Park which features a playground, picnic areas, basketball courts, and walking trails. The town also hosts an annual Fourth of July celebration with fireworks and live music.
Haslet is known for its friendly atmosphere and small-town charm. Residents enjoy the close proximity to larger cities such as Fort Worth while still maintaining their rural lifestyle. The town offers plenty of outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, biking, horseback riding, golfing, and more.
