Fischer, TX is a small unincorporated community located in Comal County, Texas. It is situated about 20 miles northeast of San Antonio and about 10 miles south of New Braunfels. The population of Fischer is estimated to be around 500 people.
The town was founded in 1845 by German immigrants who were looking for a place to settle and farm. The town was named after Johann Fischer, one of the original settlers.
Fischer is a rural community with a strong sense of community and family values. It has several churches, including St. Paul Lutheran Church, which was established in 1847 and is the oldest church in Comal County.
The town has several businesses, including a general store, a post office, an auto repair shop, and a few restaurants. There are also several small farms in the area that produce vegetables and fruits for local markets.
Fischer is known for its annual Fischer Fest celebration which takes place every year on the first Saturday in October. The festival includes live music, food vendors, carnival rides, and other activities for the whole family to enjoy.
