Burleson, Texas Description
Burleson, TX is a small city located in the heart of Johnson County, Texas. It is situated just south of Fort Worth and is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area. The city has a population of around 44,000 people and covers an area of approximately 20 square miles.
The city was founded in 1881 by Rufus Burleson, a former president of Baylor University. It was originally named “Old Town” but was later changed to Burleson in honor of its founder. The city has grown steadily over the years and today it is home to many businesses, restaurants, shops, and other attractions.
The climate in Burleson is generally mild with hot summers and cool winters. Average temperatures range from the mid-50s to the mid-90s throughout the year. The city receives an average annual rainfall of about 35 inches per year.
Burleson offers a variety of recreational activities for residents and visitors alike. There are several parks located throughout the city including Chisenhall Park which features a playground, picnic areas, walking trails, and more.
