Buda, Texas Description
Buda, Texas is a small city located in Hays County, just south of Austin. It is part of the Austin-Round Rock metropolitan area and has a population of around 7,000 people. The city was founded in 1881 and named after the nearby Buda Ranch.
The city is known for its small-town charm and friendly atmosphere. There are many parks and trails throughout the city, including the Buda City Park, which features a playground, picnic areas, and a walking trail. The historic downtown area offers unique shops and restaurants as well as a farmers market on Saturdays.
Buda is home to several educational institutions including Texas State University-San Marcos, Southwestern University, and Austin Community College. The city also has several medical facilities such as Seton Medical Center Hays and Central Texas Medical Center.
