Brazoria, Texas Description
Brazoria is a small city located in Brazoria County, Texas, United States. It is situated on the Gulf Coast, about 50 miles south of Houston. The population was 5,931 at the 2010 census.
Brazoria is known for its rich history and culture. It was founded in 1828 by Stephen F. Austin and named after the Brazos River which runs through the city. The city has a long history of being an agricultural center and is home to many farms and ranches that produce cotton, corn, soybeans, rice, and other crops.
The city also has a vibrant downtown area with many shops and restaurants. There are several parks in the area including Brazos Bend State Park which offers camping, fishing, hiking, biking trails, and more. The city also hosts several festivals throughout the year such as the Annual Watermelon Festival in June and the Annual Christmas Parade in December.
