Aubrey, Texas Description
Aubrey, Texas is a small town located in Denton County, about 40 miles north of Dallas. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and has a population of just over 3,000 people. The town was founded in 1879 and named after Aubrey B. Roberts, a local rancher.
The town is known for its rural charm and friendly atmosphere. It has several parks and recreational areas, including Lake Ray Roberts State Park, which offers camping, fishing, boating, swimming and other outdoor activities. There are also several golf courses in the area.
The downtown area of Aubrey is home to many small businesses such as antique stores, boutiques, restaurants and cafes. There are also several churches in the area that serve the community's spiritual needs. The town also hosts several annual events such as the Aubrey Bluegrass Festival and the Aubrey Rodeo & BBQ Cook-Off.
