Thompson's Station is a small town located in Williamson County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 2,194 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Nashville metropolitan area.
The town was founded in 1817 by Colonel Thomas Thompson and named after him. It was originally known as "Littlebury," but the name was changed to Thompson's Station in 1854. The town has a rich history and is home to many historic sites, including the original Thompson family homestead and cemetery, which dates back to 1817.
The town is located just south of Franklin and Brentwood, two of the most affluent suburbs of Nashville. It is also close to Cool Springs Galleria, one of the largest shopping malls in Tennessee.
Thompson's Station has a small-town feel with its quaint downtown area featuring local shops and restaurants.
