La Vergne, TN is a city located in Rutherford County, Tennessee. It is situated just south of Nashville and is part of the Nashville metropolitan area. The city has a population of over 32,000 people and covers an area of approximately 25 square miles.
The city was founded in 1852 and was named after the French word for “the green” due to its lush vegetation. La Vergne has grown significantly since then and now boasts a vibrant economy with many businesses and industries. The city is home to several large employers such as Nissan North America, Ingram Barge Company, and Bridgestone Americas.
La Vergne offers a variety of recreational activities for residents and visitors alike. There are several parks in the area including Veterans Memorial Park, which features a playground, walking trails, picnic areas, and more.
