Jamestown, Tennessee Description
Jamestown, Tennessee is a small town located in Fentress County in the Upper Cumberland region of the state. It is situated along the banks of the Wolf River and is home to approximately 1,800 people. The town was founded in 1823 and named after James Madison, the fourth President of the United States.
The town is known for its historic downtown area which features a variety of shops, restaurants, and other businesses. There are also several churches located throughout Jamestown. The town also has a public library and a museum dedicated to local history.
Jamestown is home to several parks including Wolf River Park which offers camping, fishing, and hiking opportunities. There are also several golf courses located nearby as well as a number of lakes for swimming and boating activities.
The town hosts several annual events such as the Fentress County Fair in August and the Jamestown Christmas Parade in December. Jamestown is also home to an annual music festival called Music on Main Street which takes place each summer.
Jamestown is a great place to live with its small-town charm and friendly atmosphere. It offers plenty of outdoor activities for residents to enjoy while still being close enough to larger cities like Nashville for those who want more amenities or entertainment options.
