Cleveland, Tennessee is a city located in the southeastern United States, in the state of Tennessee. It is situated in Bradley County, and is part of the Chattanooga metropolitan area. The city has a population of 41,285 people as of 2019.
Cleveland is known for its rich history and culture. It was founded in 1837 by Colonel Benjamin Cleveland, who named it after his grandfather, General Benjamin Cleveland. The city was an important center for the Confederacy during the Civil War and served as a major railroad hub for many years.
Today, Cleveland is home to several educational institutions including Lee University and Cleveland State Community College.
