Okatie, SC is a small town located in Beaufort County, South Carolina. It is situated on the banks of the Okatie River and is part of the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton-Beaufort metropolitan area. The town has a population of around 3,000 people and is known for its rural charm and natural beauty.
The town was founded in 1711 by French Huguenots who settled along the riverbanks. Today, it is home to a variety of businesses including restaurants, shops, and services. There are also several historic sites in the area such as the Old Sheldon Church Ruins and Rose Hill Plantation House.
