Washington, Pennsylvania is a city located in the southwestern corner of the state, about 25 miles south of Pittsburgh. It is the county seat of Washington County and has a population of approximately 15,000 people. The city was founded in 1781 by Colonel Thomas Cresap and named after George Washington.
