Mount Airy, Pennsylvania is a small town located in the southeastern corner of the state. It is situated in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and is part of the greater Philadelphia metropolitan area. The town has a population of approximately 8,000 people and is known for its quaint charm and historic buildings.

The town was founded in 1750 by William Allen, a Quaker from Philadelphia. It was named after his estate, Mount Airy, which he had purchased from his father-in-law. The town quickly grew to become an important stop on the stagecoach route between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. In 1854, it became an official borough and was incorporated into Montgomery County in 1857.

Today, Mount Airy is home to many historic sites including the Old Jail Museum, which houses artifacts from the Revolutionary War era; the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Hall; and several other museums dedicated to local history. The town also boasts several parks and recreational areas such as Memorial Park, which features a playground and picnic area; Valley Forge National Historical Park; and Evansburg State Park.

Mount Airy has a vibrant downtown area with many shops, restaurants, galleries, and other attractions. There are also several annual festivals held throughout the year such as Mayfair Festival of Arts & Crafts in May; Summerfest in June; Oktoberfest in October; Christmas on Main Street in December; and more.
