Hempfield is a township located in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. It is situated in the Laurel Highlands region of the state and is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The population of Hempfield was 28,831 as of the 2010 census.

The township was named after the hemp fields that were once abundant in the area. Hempfield is home to many parks and recreational areas, including Twin Lakes Park, which offers swimming, fishing, boating, and camping. The park also has a nature center with educational programs for children and adults.
