Doylestown is a borough in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located approximately 25 miles north of Philadelphia and 80 miles southwest of New York City. The population was 8,380 at the 2010 census. Doylestown is the county seat of Bucks County and is known for its rich history, vibrant culture, and quaint downtown area.
The town was founded in 1745 by William Doyle, who purchased the land from William Penn's sons. It quickly became an important center for trade and commerce in the region. The town was incorporated as a borough in 1838 and has since grown to become one of the most desirable places to live in Bucks County.
