Bethlehem, Pennsylvania is a city located in the Lehigh Valley region of the eastern United States. It is the seventh-largest city in Pennsylvania and the largest city in Northampton County. Bethlehem is known for its rich history, vibrant culture, and diverse population.
The city was founded in 1741 by Moravian settlers from Germany and has since grown to become a major industrial center. Bethlehem Steel was once one of the largest steel producers in the world and employed thousands of people in the area. Today, Bethlehem is home to several large companies such as Air Products & Chemicals, Olympus Corporation of America, and B. Braun Medical Inc., as well as numerous small businesses.
Bethlehem is also home to several educational institutions including Lehigh University, Moravian College, and Northampton Community College. The city also boasts a variety of cultural attractions such as the Banana Factory Arts Center, SteelStacks entertainment complex, and Musikfest music festival.
