Beaver, Pennsylvania is a borough located in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. It is situated along the Ohio River and is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The population was 4,531 at the 2010 census.
Beaver was founded in 1802 by William B. McKee, who named it after the local animal population. The town quickly grew to become an important port on the Ohio River and a hub for trade and industry. In 1838, Beaver became an incorporated borough.
Today, Beaver is a vibrant community with a variety of attractions and activities for residents and visitors alike. The downtown area features historic buildings, unique shops, restaurants, and galleries. There are also several parks located throughout the borough that offer recreational opportunities such as hiking trails, playgrounds, picnic areas, and more.
