Seghers, Oregon is a small unincorporated community located in the Umpqua Valley of Douglas County. It is situated on the banks of the Umpqua River, just south of the city of Roseburg. The area is known for its lush forests and rolling hills, and it is home to a variety of wildlife including deer, elk, and black bear.

The town was founded in 1851 by John Seghers, who established a sawmill along the river. The mill was used to process lumber for local farmers and ranchers, as well as for export to other parts of Oregon and beyond. In addition to the mill, Seghers also had a general store and post office.

Today, Seghers remains an unincorporated community with a population of around 200 people. It is home to several small businesses including a gas station/convenience store, a restaurant/bar, and an RV park. There are also several churches in town that serve the local community.

The area around Seghers is popular with outdoor enthusiasts due to its proximity to numerous hiking trails and fishing spots along the Umpqua River. The nearby Umpqua National Forest provides plenty of opportunities for camping, hunting, and other recreational activities. Additionally, there are several wineries in the area that offer tastings and tours throughout the year.
