Lebanon, Oregon is a small city located in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. It is situated in Linn County and is part of the Albany-Lebanon Micropolitan Statistical Area. The city has a population of around 16,000 people and is known for its rural charm and friendly atmosphere.
The city was founded in 1847 by settlers from the nearby town of Lebanon, Indiana. It was named after the Biblical city of Lebanon due to its location near the foothills of Mount Lebanon. The city has grown steadily over the years and today it is home to a variety of businesses, including manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and education.
