Hermiston, Oregon Description
Hermiston, Oregon is a city located in Umatilla County in the northeastern part of the state. It is situated along the Columbia River and is part of the Hermiston-Pendleton Micropolitan Statistical Area. The city has a population of around 17,000 people and covers an area of 8.2 square miles.
Hermiston is known for its agricultural industry, with many farms and ranches located in the area. The city is home to several large food processing plants, including Lamb Weston, which produces frozen potato products. The city also has a vibrant retail sector with several shopping centers and stores located throughout the city.
The city has several parks and recreational areas, including Hermiston Community Park which features a playground, picnic areas, walking paths, and sports fields. There are also several golf courses located nearby as well as a number of museums and historical sites to explore.
