Tahlequah, Oklahoma Description
Tahlequah is a city located in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in northeastern Oklahoma. It is the county seat of Cherokee County and home to Northeastern State University. The city has a population of around 17,000 people and is known for its rich Native American heritage.
Tahlequah is situated on the Illinois River and is surrounded by lush forests, rolling hills, and beautiful lakes. The city has a vibrant downtown area with shops, restaurants, galleries, and entertainment venues. There are also several parks in the area including Norris Park, which features a lake with paddleboats and fishing docks.
