Kingston, Oklahoma is a small town located in Marshall County, Oklahoma. It is situated on the banks of the Red River and is home to just over 1,000 people. The town was founded in 1872 and has a rich history that includes being the site of a major battle during the Civil War.
The town has a quaint downtown area with several shops and restaurants. There are also several parks and recreational areas for residents to enjoy. The town is known for its annual festivals such as the Red River Festival which celebrates the area's history and culture.
The climate in Kingston is mild with hot summers and cold winters. The average temperature in July is around 90 degrees Fahrenheit while January temperatures can dip down to around 30 degrees Fahrenheit.
Kingston has an excellent school system with two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. There are also several private schools in the area as well as higher education opportunities at nearby universities such as Southeastern Oklahoma State University and East Central University.
